_ The Squadron is staffed by Officers Commissioned into the Training Branch of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, ATC Adult NCOs and Civilian Instructors, each of whom have civilian jobs over and above their ATC commitments. All staff have undergone Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks prior to being allowed to work with cadets. All kinds of people make up our volunteer staff, coming from a range of backgrounds and interests. Obviously if you have direct experience of working with young people, or any relevant skills such as flying or gliding, you would be particularly welcome. These aren't essential though, as we will train and support you at every stage.
Most uniformed staff training takes place at our Adult Training Facility (ATF), located at Headquarters Air Cadets (HQAC) at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire. Information on courses provided at the ATF are all available on internal SharePoint site bader – escortxx.xyz Adult Staff; Location/Contact WELCOME. The Air Training Corps is a youth organisation designed to foster a spirit of adventure in young people. We aim to give 12 to 19 year olds the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, improve their knowledge of aviation and aircraft, and challenge themselves with a wide range of activities.
The Air Training Corps, including all ranks of its adult staff (Adult Sergeants, Flight Sergeants and Warrant Officers), are part of the ATC youth organization; they are neither part of a military force or part of a paramilitary force. Civilian Instructors (CI) are adult volunteers who are civilian non-uniformed members of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets adult staff structure who volunteer their services for a variety of training roles within the squadron environment.
